This spacious suite was designed by Ilse Benard, and constructed by Isaac Ortiz, to transport you to the beach. The complete remodel included removing two closets to make room for the stunning oversized shower. Popcorn ceilings were eliminated and old iron water pipes which had been encased in 4" of poured cement were dug out and replaced. The cement did not come out easily, and what you think happens when you use a jack hammer on a second story floor is just what happened: they came through the foyer ceiling. This then revealed old knob and tube wiring. The interior walls are constructed of a metal lathe with concrete. It was quite a chore to get this suite up to par, but well worth it. When a guest checks into this room they always say 'the pictures online don't show how spacious the room is'. Details matter, so we took care in the design to make sure our guests are extremely comfortable and have everything you need. We were mindful of original home features, such as picture rail molding and boiler vents, and these remain intact. You may notice the hooks and wire used to secure wall hangings.
The King Size pillow-top bed is made up with Comphy brand luxury linens. The alarm clock is equipped with two USB ports so you can stay charged. An intimate dining alcove provides the perfect place for enjoying breakfast or one of our soon to be famous homemade pizzas. A large private balcony overlooking the grounds is a great place to enjoy the sea breeze and/or a meal while viewing the tropical grounds. Custom window coverings and paint choices combine to envelop you in the warmth the Galveston Seawall. There is even an antique desk so you can check-in with the people that didn't get to come with you. A comfy couch for relaxing in front of the television unfolds into a queen size bed.
Your own private bathroom in the Seawall Suite features an oversized shower with three shower heads, including a rain shower, and is surrounded in hand carved Carrara marble. The two-person jetted tub is sure to relax you and your love. Keep in mind, please, that products such as bath bombs, oils, and bubble bath will damage the jets and should never be used in the jacuzzi. A double-sink marble vanity with plenty of room for your personal items. We start you off with high quality amenities including soap, bath gel, shampoo, lotion, and conditioner. A wash cloth and makeup remover wipes are also provided. You have use of two Plush Spa Robes by Comphy for relaxing. A minifridge and microwave complete the expansive list of comforts provided to our guests. If we didn't think of it already, just let us know what you need.
