BLVD. Seafood is just a few short blocks from the AveO at 28th & Seawall Blvd. It has been our go-to quick and delicious dinner choice for over two years. Executive Chef Chris Lopez expertly pairs ingredients to create taste sensations you will remember long after dessert. Recently they enhanced their menu making some of our favorite dishes even better, something I could not have imagined was possible.
I have to start with their drink menu. Their Specialty Drinks will blow your mind. Our favorite, the BLVD. Mudslide (Smirnoff Vanilla, Bailey's Irish Cream, and Kahlua), sets-off a chain reaction in the restaurant whenever we order one. People see it and they want it! If you're a bloody Mary fan, wait until you see the D-Lux Bloody Mary and its D-Lux Garnish.
We have not been to BLVD for Brunch, because we're usually busy serving our own guests, but reviews by locals rave about the menu and delicious food.
BLVD has a terrific Happy Hour menu, as well. I rarely have a drink anywhere, but at BLVD I have one for dessert. Vanilla Strawberry Martini and Mudslide are my personal favorites. Their sharable dishes are perfectly prepared and garnished. The Wedge Salad is the best on the island full of fresh made blue cheese dressing and loaded with goodies.
We usually go to BLVD for dinner. I admit that I have fallen into a rut. It's either 3 Pepper Chicken - fried, not grilled, with creamy garlic mashed potatoes, roasted corn poblano, a chipotle cream, and jalapeno drizzle. It is a flavor explosion of very well executed comfort food; a party in my mouth; or, I order the Crab Stuffed Shrimp Bites which is a good sized portion of stuffed shrimp in a buttery sauce with toast points. I have also tried the Blackberry Pork Chop and many of their seafood dishes. Every plate at BLVD is executed flawlessly. They know how to cook seafood better than most places in the area.
