In the land of William Shakespeare, the B&B experience is part of the country’s rich heritage but in the land of Texas, Bed and Breakfasts are a relatively new phenomenon. So for those of you who have not yet had the pleasure of a B&B stay, we would like to provide you with the information necessary to make an educated decision regarding whether to "B&B or not to B&B"

B&B FAQ’s:

Is there a private bath?

All our rooms have private baths with the exception of the Sunshine Room which is only rented to guests traveling with those in the South Pacific Room because it shares a bath.

Do I need to bring my own linens and towels?

No, we offer top quality 100% cotton linens and towels. In fact, we pride ourselves in providing the ultimate in comfort and luxury.

Is there a specific time I need to be in at night?

Guests are given a key to the inn and may come and go as they please.

What is included in the rate?

Not only do you have a beautifully designed room with a plush bed and many special touches but also a lavish breakfast, mid day snacks, daily maid service and an innkeeper who is on hand to make sure you enjoy your stay

What do you serve for breakfast?

Our  breakfast menu varies but you can be assured that the food is not only delicious but plentiful including: fruit, orange juice, muffin or pastry, a sweet or savory main dish with bacon or sausage.

What size are your beds?

One room has King sized bed and two with Queen.  The Sunshine room has a double bed.

Is there a menu for breakfast or just one main selection?

Unless guests have special dietary needs, we serve a set plate every day consisting of a wide range of delectable culinary delights.

What do you enjoy about being an innkeeper?

We enjoy meeting our very special guests and making sure that their stay is as pleasurable as our personalized service can make it. We, as innkeepers, are in the business of "Creating Memories"; which we do with gusto. Having our guests exclaim over the luxurious accommodations or the sumptuous breakfasts is one of the great pleasures of innkeeping.

Do the innkeepers live on premises?

The city of Galveston requires the owners to live onsite as one of the conditions of obtaining a permit. Since owners tend to be more conscientious about maintaining their property if it is their home, guests can be assured of a premium establishment.

Are the rooms air conditioned?

Yes, all our rooms are air conditioned.

Do you have internet access?

All rooms have high speed internet access.

What about privacy?

Avenue O provides completely private accommodations. Only one room is rented in the main house the other two are located separately behind the house.
